We'll be staying at the beautiful and recently built SoulShine, where it's not a place but a state of mind!
The resort is a short walk to Playa Avellanas beach. It features a restaurant with some of the most amazing foods your tastebuds have experienced, an outdoor swimming pool with lots of lounging chairs and a rancho and a covered hangout area for tiny dips and chillin'. With a garden, the property also has a terrace to explore the flora of the jungle. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen which will have a daily breakfast bar and snacks through out the day and free WiFi.
All rooms at the hotel are fitted with a seating area. Rooms come with a private bathroom fitted with a shower, while certain rooms are equipped with a kitchen. The rooms at SoulShine have air conditioning, a desk and WiFi.

Day 1
Arrive at the beautiful SoulShine resort in Playa Avellanas and meet your hosts! Get acquainted with your room while sipping on a fresh, tropical welcome drink.

Day 2
Buenos Dias! You’re in the tropics! Wake up to the howler monkeys and have desayuno (aka breakfast!) at the breakfast bar in the shared kitchen. Life in the jungle starts early, we'll leave at 6:45 a.m. to the beach for our first surf lesson. Lunch is served fresh and at your leisure from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Relax by the pool surrounded by lush jungle, and then join us for barreless barre in the afternoon. Tonight, we have an included dinner in the jungle at Il Rústico.

Day 3
Today we have our second surf lesson together. Since the tide follows the moon, surfing will be an hour later today than yesterday. We'll return to the hotel around 10 a.m. just in time to fuel up and nourish our bodies. Lounge by the pool or wander around the jungle. Barre today is at 3 p.m. and just after, we'll do an authentic and local Costa Rican cacao workshop and tasting.

Day 4
Today is a free for all! Choose your own adventure like the Marlin Del Rey, which is a sunset catamaran tour complete with snorkeling, open bar and dinner, a horseback riding tour along the beautiful Pacific of Costa Rica or a hike to the incredible La Leona waterfall. Of course you're welcome to lounge by the pool all day, too! Enjoy a slower morning, but don't forget about barre at 8 a.m. by the pool! There is also a super fun night market at La Esquina that you won't want to miss!

Day 5
Today is your last included surf lesson! We’ll wake up to an energizing barre & yoga flow to get your shoulders warmed up before we grab our coffee and light breakfast. We’ll head out for our final surf lesson together. Goal: Catch the biggest party wave at Avellanas! Lots of high fives and laughs. Since tonight is our last night together, we'll celebrate in style watching the sunset at La Purruja's on the beach.

Meet your hosts
Fressie Muñoz
Owner and founder of three barre studios including Pura Vida Barre in Playa Avellanas, Fressie is a master trainer in the Barre Intensity method. She was a professional dancer for 10 years and combines attributes of Pilates, dance, and functional fitness training to present a powerful and intense barre program. Fressie travels around Central America sharing her love for movement and barre.
Tiffany Feskens
Trained by master instructor Adrienne Rabena in 2018, Tiffany is a certified Barre Eclipse instructor which incorporates exercises from Pilates, yoga, hiit and strength based movements. Hailing from Seattle WA, she taught at studios like Bohemian Studios, Bala Yoga and the Seattle Bouldering Project. She has lived in Costa Rica for one year enjoying the pura vida.
